Ranching & Livestock

The primary business since the establishment of the ranch has been Livestock keeping including fattening and selling of beef steers, meat goat and sheep, as well as cow milk. The ranch was run as a profitable enterprise and continued paying dividends to its shareholders until mid1980s when business collapsed due to combination of factors which include lack of ranching expertise and business acumen such as unprecedented draughts and misplacement of resources.

The company operations remained dormant until the late 1990s when it was re-established entirely depending on selling grazing rights to livestock traders from the Northern Eastern region as its source of revenue. The ranch was then able to start building its own breeding herd and fattening steers and bounced back into the market. The ranch is now stable and fully compliant with all its statutory obligations and has business conscious Board of Directors and a hired professional Company Secretary.

On livestock business, we mainly focus on fattening and selling of beef steers, meat goat and milk.
